Personal project for a site that I frequent. The site is no longer active however in it's prime it had 50 registered users and 12 active contributors. Due to work commitments I could no longer maintain it.
Technology used:
- Drupal 5 with Zen theme engine, CCK, Views, Custom Modules
- jQuery for Collage
Development:
I developed this site of a period of three weeks taking in user input on both the theme and the features required. Two custom modules were built to fulfil the needs of the user. The first module grabs the top 5 similar artists from last.fm and saves them in the database the cache of similar artists is rebuilt every 10 page refreshes to make sure that the site didn't use up it's alotted api calls. The second module was created to display a collage of all the albums that had been submitted to the site and display relevant links in a hover div.
